Building Layout

A building layout refers to the detailed plan or design of a building's interior spaces. A building layout includes various elements such as: 

  • Bedrooms: Sleeping areas

  • Bathrooms: Rooms containing a bath and/or shower

  • Toilets: Separate rooms with a toilet

  • Kitchens: Areas designated for cooking and food preparation

  • Living Areas: Common spaces like living rooms or lounges

  • Heaters: Devices or systems used to heat the building.

Please provide the following details about the building layout: 

  • Indicate the total number of each type of room (e.g., bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, kitchens). 

  • Usage: Describe the primary use of the building (e.g., residential, commercial, mixed-use).

An outbuilding is a structure that is separate from the main building on a property. These buildings are typically used for various purposes such as storage, workshops, garages, guest houses, or other utility functions.

Occupational Therapy / accessibility modifications and specialist equipment

  • Occupational therapists work with people of all ages who have physical, mental, or developmental conditions that impact their ability to engage in everyday tasks.

  • Accessibility Modifications refer to changes made to a home or environment to make it more accessible and safer for individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges. These include:

    • Installing grab bars in bathrooms.

    • Widening doorways to accommodate wheelchairs.

    • Adding ramps for easier access.

    • Lowering countertops and cabinets.

    • Modifying lighting for better visibility.

  • Specialist Equipment includes devices and tools designed to assist individuals in performing daily activities easily and safely. These include:

    • Wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

    • Shower chairs and bath lifts.

    • Adaptive utensils for eating.

    • Communication devices for those with speech impairments.

    • Standing frames and hoists.
